Supply of multipliers for the booster compressor installation of PJSC NPO ISKRA to the facility of PJSC NK Rosneft

Booster compressor units (DKU) are used in the oil and gas industry, energy, oil and gas chemistry, and other industries. All DCUs of various modifications are subject to individual requirements arising from the scope, design features and operating conditions. The correct choice of equipment included in the DCU directly affects the production and technological capabilities, meet the high requirements for reliability and resource gas-powered equipment.
One of the main, including in terms of cost, elements of technological equipment used in this DKU project is a multiplier, which converts and transfers torque from the electric motor to the compressor, while increasing the rotation speed from 3000 rpm to the compressor needed for operation 14 000 rpm and above.

The main criteria for the choice of the manufacturer for this task were:

• Experience in the development and supply of high-speed gearboxes of high power;

• A modern production site equipped with high-precision production equipment;

• Developed worldwide trading, engineering and service network;

• Competitive price;

• Availability of quality management certificates.

Based on the analysis of possible manufacturers, taking into account all of the above criteria, EnergoFront employees selected the NGC plant located in Nanjing (Jiangsu Province, PRC). NGC manufacturing plant is one of the world leaders in the production of gear equipment and drive solutions. Using the results of joint developments of the Sino-German research team, the use of high-precision machining machines, coordinate measuring centers allows us to obtain the highest quality products that meet the latest international standards.

In the process of close collaboration between the technical services of our company and NGC, taking into account the requirements of the technical specifications received from NPO ISKRA, a solution was selected for this installation in the form of sets of equipment: MTG28DN multiplier + inlet and outlet elastic plate couplings with protective covers, providing a reliable connection multiplier with a drive motor and a load compressor.

At the request of NPO "ISKRA", the multiplier is equipped with sensors for monitoring vibration and temperature of domestic production of explosion-proof performance. They have all the necessary permits and certificates on the territory of the Russian Federation, and are also agreed to be connected to a single system for vibration diagnostics and measuring the temperature conditions of the entire DCU unit.

Installation supervision and commissioning during testing of the DCU unit at the ISKRA NPO site, as well as at the end customer’s facility, will be carried out by the EnergoFront service engineer’s chief engineers, which ensures that installation and commissioning are carried out in strict accordance with the requirements of operational documentation for the supplied equipment. This allows you to be sure of the long-term and trouble-free operation of the multiplier.
