Kirov-Energomash Plant JSC, a company affiliated with Rosatom Corporation, develops and manufactures power equipment for the nuclear, thermal, shipboard and hydropower industries. The main activity of the plant is the design, manufacture and testing of steam turbines, which are used on ships of the civil and military fleets of Russia.
The customer faced such a problem that the existing test bench did not provide the necessary loads for testing modern steam turbine installations. It was necessary to create a stand capable of simulating real and increased loads with high accuracy. The upgrade includes the installation of steam boilers and auxiliary equipment, including feed pumps.
EnergoFront specialists were tasked with selecting pumping units to provide feed water to steam boilers at various steam turbine loads.
CNP feed pumps of the BRM 115-85x9 brand, which meet the project requirements, were selected for the modernization of the stand.
Key features of the solution:
high productivity: flow rate of 120 m3/h, water head of 750 m;
reliability: BB4 version according to API 682 (improved tightness and durability);
energy efficiency: 68% efficiency;
cavitation resistance: NPSHr 3.2 m ensures stable operation without risk of damage.
After modernization, the test bench will be able to reproduce real and increased loads for all types of steam turbine installations.
The delivery dates have been met, the equipment has been delivered two months ahead of the installation time!
The installation of CNP pumps will ensure the supply of feed water for steam boilers over the entire range of operation of the test bench.
