Supply of complete drive for the conveyor of JSC «TYAZHMASH» on the object OJSC «MMK «Norilsk Nickel»

One of the key mining assets of the Polar branch of OJSC «MMK «Norilsk Nickel» is «Taymyrskiy» mine, which has the largest output of high-grade ore among the mining enterprises of the entire Polar branch. «Taymyrskiy» is considered one of the deepest mines in the Eurasian continent, as due to the peculiarities of the ore body, it is mined from the trunks located at a depth of 1450 m. It is one of the largest mining companies, which constantly operates more than 150 km of mining.

In order to increase output, reduce equipment downtime and decrease further production risks, OJSC «MMK «Norilsk Nickel» set a task for the manufacturer of conveyor equipment JSC «TYAZHMASH» on modernization of the joints of drive parts of the conveyor №9 and №10.

Thanks to long-term profitable cooperation, JSC «TYAZHMASH» attracted «EnergoFront» company to the solution of this task as the responsible and reliable supplier. In the course of joint work it was proposed already tested solution for the complete set of the electric part of the drive stations for large conveyors on the basis of high-voltage induction motor with phase rotor type AK4-400U-6U3 production of LLC «RUSELPROM», soft starter device EK-AV6-0.5-RS-V UHL4 production of JSC «Energokomplekt» and cylindrical three-stage gearbox H3SH20 of «Flender» company.

These types of equipment are used in many industries. All «Flender» gearboxes have a very high efficiency, reliability and long service life, during which no special maintenance is required.

Brief description of H3SH20 cylindrical three-stage gearbox by «Flender» company:

• gear ratio iN = 40;

• availability of the reverse stop;

• shaft dust seals: «TACONITE»;

• oil bath lubrication;

• cooling oil from a separate oil-pumping station, mounted frontally to the body of the gear from the input stage;

• measurement of oil temperature by built-in Pt100 sensor in the gearbox housing;

• temperature control of bearings by Pt100 sensors;

• measurement of vibration velocity sensors in 3 axes.

Soft starters of EK-AV6-xx-RS-Vx series manufactured by JSC «Energokomplekt» with digital control system are designed for non-contact soft start of asynchronous motors with phase rotor. The devices can be used to run belt conveyors, hoists, mills, crushers and other mechanisms with heavy start-up conditions.

EK-AV6-xx-RS-Vx device is fully digitally controlled and can be used in automated production, operated and controlled by a top-level control system.

The soft starter EK-AV6-xx-RS-Vx provides:

• smooth start of the mechanism;

• operation at reduced (repair) speed;

• elimination of backlashes, gaps, «preload»;

• single-engine and multi-engine modes (consistent operation of multiple soft starters for AM-PR);

• smooth start-up time control;

• local (from the device door) or remote (via Modbus protocol, Profibus DP) control.

The device includes a thyristor converter cabinet with a control system, as well as one or more (depending on the engine power) cabinets with starting resistances. In addition, the device is equipped with a shunt contactor.

Now the equipment is in production. It is being prepared for the tests at the manufacturing plants, further shipment to the object of the final customer, followed by the execution of installation supervision and commissioning.
