In September 2011, one of the largest industrial construction projects of the decade was completed in the Perm region. The largest international energy concern E.ON commissioned a new power unit with a capacity of 425 MW at the Yaivinskaya State District Power Plant. In just 3 years, a new station was built, which successfully supplies electricity to the unified power grid of Russia. The net efficiency of the new unit is 56.6%, one third higher than the industry average. This class of power equipment is the most efficient in the thermal power industry of the Russian Federation.
To ensure uninterrupted operation of the unit’s equipment, EnergoFront CJSC will supply backup electric motors for various types of auxiliary equipment, including for driving a centrifugal gas compressor with an integrated drive type GT 050 T5D1 manufactured by Atlas Copco. The electric motor MGF-710A (7700 kW, 6 kV, 1500 rpm) produced by WEG is fully adapted to the existing systems of the unit and agreed with the mechanism manufacturer. In addition, the solutions proposed by EnergoFront CJSC provided significant savings in the unit’s safety stock budget.
