The EnergoFront service department is in full swing carrying out commissioning work on the icebreaker “Arktika”
13 April 2020
In February 2020, specialists from the EnergoFront service department began commissioning work on previously supplied equipment to complete the PEMA 250-80 electric pump units, which are designed to supply feedwater to the steam generators of the steam turbine installation of the Project 22220 nuclear icebreaker “Arktika”. These are 800 kW asynchronous electric motors, AT24-M80-690-R00000 frequency converters, TRSD-1000-10.5/0.69/0.69/0.38 transformer cabinets, local control panels.
Based on the results of the first stage of work, a test run and running-in of the drive electric motors was carried out at idle speed. The operating time of the electric motors without load was 7 hours, with confirmation of all output operating parameters.
At the second stage of the commissioning work, such work will be carried out as: checking external connection diagrams and interconnection with the upper level of control of the vehicle control system, adjusting settings and adapting to the technological process, checking protection responses in emergency situations, load tests, checking all operating modes, etc.
The main task remains compliance with the approved work schedule and deadlines, as well as the efficiency and coordinated work of all participants in the construction of the icebreaker.
With wishes for stable development,
