Professional growth of employees is the key to the company’s success
6 July 2017
Personnel training is the process of mastering knowledge, skills, abilities and methods of communication under the guidance of experienced mentors, specialists and managers to develop professional qualities and abilities in employees. Constant professional development is beneficial not only to the employee himself, but also to the employer, because by investing money in employee training, he will receive even more income in the future. In addition, if training is used correctly, it is possible not only to develop the professional competencies of employees, but also to increase their motivation. New technologies and equipment appear that require certain qualifications. If the staff has the required skills and knowledge, then the company will not stand still, will develop and remain competitive.
Employees of the EnergoFront company constantly strive to update their knowledge, thereby improving the quality of work. In July, the head of the Service Department held a training seminar for managers on the topic “Frequency converters and soft starters as modern methods of controlling an asynchronous electric motor.”
What is an electric motor from a process control point of view, why and how it is necessary to control the speed of an electric motor, what control methods exist and its main devices are just some of the topics that were again covered during the training. The seminar participants were presented with a comparative description of modern manufacturers, indicating their features, and were also told about the latest trends in the development of drive technology.
In addition to the theoretical part, there was also practice: employees were shown a special presentation frequency converter with an electric motor. Each of the seminar participants was able to thoroughly study the principles of its operation, as well as see the capabilities of the VFD and its components.
Opinion of the leading engineer of the technical department of EnergoFront LLC, Ilya Pisarevsky: “The meeting was successful and fruitful. Each of us managed not only to refresh our memory of the theoretical aspects related to the design and operation of electric motors, but also to experience everything in practice. We handled IGBT transistors, thyristors, capacitors, control boards, small VFDs, fans, control panels, etc. During the seminar, employees were able to exchange their experiences with each other and ask questions. And at the end, everyone received “tips”: special materials that will be an excellent help when preparing presentations for customers and training new employees.”
With the wish to acquire new knowledge,
EnergoFront team #FrontUm
