Kostroma State District Power Plant is the pride of the Russian energy sector, having federal significance and annually generating about 3% of all electricity received in the country, which is supplied to 40 regions of Russia and neighboring countries. The power plant is located in the city of Volgorechensk, which arose during its construction in the 60s. A modern culture of maintenance and repair, as well as high professional training of specialists, allowed Kostroma State District Power Plant to achieve high reliability of equipment operation and become an exemplary leading enterprise not only in Russia, but also abroad.
The EnergoFront company became a partner of the Kostroma State District Power Plant, having won a tender for the supply of pumps for the desalting installation of the LEU power unit st. No. 7 (EB No. 7).
Supporting the policy of PJSC Inter RAO on energy saving and energy efficiency, modernized pumping units KsV 500-85-1 (Q=500m3/h, H=85 m) with increased efficiency = 78%, as well as a reduced vibration indicator to 3.5 mm/s were submitted to the competition. High efficiency is achieved thanks to an optimized combination of 7/9 blades in the impeller and channels in the guide vane.
The A355SMB6 U3 electric motor (200 kW, 992 rpm, 380 V, IM3011, manufactured by ELDIN OJSC, Yaroslavl) was selected as the drive for the KSV 500-85-1 pumps. At the same time, at the request of the customer, the electric motor will be modified to connect to the cable from below, and the location of the pressure and suction pipes of the pump will be made one-sided. This will reduce the total financial and time costs of the station for equipment installation.
