EnergoFront shares its experience in qualified maintenance of fluid couplings
16 October 2018
The growth of modern megacities poses new challenges for the generating company PJSC TGC-1. When addressing issues of expansion and modernization of production, thermal power plants of TGK-1 are actively mastering modern technologies. Projects with new pumping equipment provide high-quality performance control using Voith Turbo fluid couplings.
Due to the lack of information on qualified maintenance of fluid couplings faced by technical personnel of power plants, employees of the EnergoFront company held a seminar on the topic “Maintenance of Voith type fluid couplings.” The seminar included theoretical and practical training at the Training Center of PJSC TGC-1.
The first solutions with Voith Turbo equipment for TGK-1 were implemented by EnergoFront specialists at Pravoberezhnaya CHPP (CHP-5) 8 years ago. Subsequently, our company supplied and introduced into the technological process more than 20 units of fluid couplings both at TGK-1 facilities and at other power plants in Russia, having accumulated extensive practical experience.
“The human factor plays an important role in the efficiency of equipment operation,” says Ilya Pisarevsky. – Improper operation and maintenance of modern equipment can cause rapid wear of the equipment, as well as malfunctions and reduced productivity. We hope that the seminar will help ensure high quality operation and long service life of equipment at TGC-1 power plants.”
PJSC “TGC-1” is a leading producer of electrical and thermal energy in the North-West region of Russia, uniting 53 power plants in four constituent entities of the Russian Federation. The installed electrical capacity is 6.95 GW, thermal capacity is 13.65 thousand Gcal/hour.
