EnergoFront shipped the first batch of pumping equipment as part of an investment project from JSC Inter RAO – Electric Power Plants

14 September 2017

North-West CHPP is the first new generation power plant in Russia with a highly economical and environmentally friendly technology for the production of electrical and thermal energy, operating on a steam-gas binary cycle. It is one of the most modern stations not only in Russia, but throughout Europe.

In terms of its technical and economic indicators and level of environmental protection, the station has no equal in Russia and serves as a model for the construction of new and modernization of outdated power plants. The station supplies heat to the Primorsky district of St. Petersburg and operates not only in the power system of Russia, but also in Finland.

As part of the investment project “Design, supply and installation of four high-pressure electric pumps for waste heat boilers of block No. 1” in 2017 – 2018. EnergoFront supplied the first batch of equipment to the North-West CHPP branch of JSC Inter RAO – Electric Power Plants, including two PRNR250-32 pumps manufactured by Ensival Moret (France).

These pumps are fully consistent with the previous ones installed at the station, which will significantly reduce installation time and avoid technical difficulties. Taking into account the fact that the previous equipment was operated incorrectly, EnergoFront LLC, together with the manufacturing plant, developed detailed maintenance regulations for new pumps, namely, recommendations for cooling the mechanical seals.

PRNR 250-32 pumps are high-pressure circulation pumps with the following parameters:

 – Feed 647.4 m3/ч,

– Head 26.8 m,

– Cavitation head NPSH 3.4 m

– efficiency 81.2%

This equipment will improve the reliability of waste heat boilers and the unit as a whole.

Opinion of EnergoFront LLC project manager Roman Topoev: “As part of this order, we worked for the first time with the French manufacturing plant Ensival Moret. Throughout all stages of preparatory work, we exercised full control over the production of pumps in order to avoid overlaps and the production of low-quality parts or components. We were pleased with the result of cooperation with our foreign partner. At the request of the station, delivery of all remaining pumps must be made no later than December 2017. We will make every effort to complete all work on time.”

With wishes for new challenges,
