“The net profit of JSC OGK-2 according to IFRS for the 1st quarter of 2013 increased by 4.3 times compared to the same period last year – to 2 billion 519 million rubles, an increase of 1 billion 930 million rubles,” follows from the interim condensed unaudited consolidated statements published today.

OGK-2’s revenue for the reporting quarter increased by 3.8% and amounted to 28 billion 145 million rubles. According to the company, a significant role in the increase in this indicator was played by the growth in revenue from the sale of capacity under capacity supply agreements (CSA) in connection with the commissioning of the Adler TPP.
In addition, the completion of the reconstruction of unit 7 of the Novocherkasskaya GRES, as well as the increase in electricity prices on the DAM and KOM prices in 2013 (including due to the indexation of KOM prices since January 2013) had a positive impact on revenue.
