Ceremonial events dedicated to the commissioning of the combined cycle gas power unit PGU-450 at Pravoberezhnaya CHPP took place in St. Petersburg

In St. Petersburg, ceremonial events were held dedicated to the commissioning of the combined cycle gas power unit PGU-450 of Pravoberezhnaya CHPP. The events were attended by Chairman of the Management Board of OJSC Gazprom Alexey Miller, Governor of St. Petersburg Georgy Poltavchenko, member of the Management Board of OJSC Gazprom Kirill Seleznev, General Director of Gazprom Energoholding LLC Denis Fedorov, General Director of OJSC TGC-1 Andrey Filippov. PGU-450 at Pravoberezhnaya CHPP is the third (after the commissioning of PGU-450 at Yuzhnaya CHPP and two PGU-180 at Pervomaiskaya CHPP) major project for the construction of modern power units based on combined cycle technology, implemented by Gazprom in recent years in St. Petersburg.
With the commissioning of the new power unit of the Pravoberezhnaya CHPP, the reliability and quality of heat supply to the south-eastern districts of the city has been significantly improved, and a reserve of electrical and thermal power has been provided for the future needs of developing adjacent areas. In addition, the new power unit reduces the load on the substations of the “energy ring”, which increases the reliability of the city’s energy system.
NPP TechnoProekt CJSC supplied and supported the commissioning of the entire complex of pumping equipment for the unit, receiving high praise from the customer and the contractor.
