Project for replacing the vertical centrifugal electric pump unit of the Volkovskaya waterworks station of the 1st lift of the State Unitary Enterprise “Vodokanal of St. Petersburg”

Design engineers of our Company completed design work to replace the vertical centrifugal electric pump unit No. 2 of the 40V-16 brand with an SDV-16-51-16 electric motor at the Volkovskaya water station (VWS) of the 1st rise in St. Petersburg. The 1st lift water treatment plant is designed to collect and transport raw water by pumping units from the water source – the Neva River to the 2nd lift water treatment plant.
The project provides for the replacement of an existing pumping unit of type 40V-16 with rated parameters Q=12,000 m3/h, N=27 m, with a synchronous electric motor SDV-16-51-16 with a power of 1,600 kW with a new pumping unit of type 800V-2.5/100-O with rated parameters Q=6,000 m3/h, N=27 m, with an asynchronous electric motor VAN 143/46-16UZ with a power of 630 kW.
Design solutions provide for dismantling and installation work of the pumping unit without disturbing the building structures. To determine the technical feasibility of performing the work, an inspection of the Air Force building and the foundations for the equipment was carried out.
In addition to the design and working documentation, a technological map has been developed containing the requirements, sequence and rules for performing dismantling and installation work of the pumping unit, taking into account the design features of the building and the existing equipment of the Air Force building.
