EnergoFront specialists completed the next stage

24 June 2020

EnergoFront specialists completed the next stage of the commissioning of electrical equipment for PEMA 250-80 pumping units. During mooring tests, pumping units were tested in various operating modes.

ПЭМА 250-80

The individual operation of the pumps, their interaction with the systems for supplying oil to bearings and water to pump seals, engine cooling was checked. It was verified that reliable information was obtained from temperature and pressure sensors, and the transmission of this information to control systems (KSUTS). Checks of blocking algorithms, protections and operation of pumping units were carried out.

The individual operation of the pumps in all modes was checked, except for operation at maximum power (this mode will be tested on sea trials). In all modes, the parameters of pumping units were in the range of normal values.

The operating modes of complementary systems (air conditioning and cooling) are set. Inspections of equipment after the completion of individual tests showed the absence of equipment failures.

Further different checks on the operation of the equipment in joint operating modes were carried out. The parameters of the frequency converters that feed the electric motors of the pumping units were adjusted in order to obtain "smooth" transitional modes during load shedding and surges, when switching from one pump to another, consisting of two and three pumps.

Together with the control system of the KSU TS, the input / output modes of pumping units to / from work were debugged. As a result the flow / pressure was maintained with the required accuracy in all operating modes of the steam turbine of the installation.

Currently, the Icebreaker is on sea trials, in which the equipment is checked in operating modes at maximum power and during the "rocking" of the ship.
