Supply of boiler feed pump TDG600-200X10 manufactured by SHANGHAI KAIQUAN PUMP (GROUP) CO. LTD (China) for the project “Modernization of the Samara Thermal Power Plant with the replacement of the TA st. No. 4 and KA st. No. 4" for the needs of PJSC "T Plus"

Samara CHPP is one of the youngest thermal and technically advanced power plants in the Samara region. Installed electrical capacity is 440 MW, installed thermal capacity is 1954 Gcal/hour. It supplies heat and electricity to more than half of the city of Samara, with almost 80% of the station’s consumers being the population. The thermal power plant equipment includes 5 turbines and 12 boiler units.

In 2019, Samara CHPP was selected to participate in the federal program for the modernization of generation facilities “DPM-2” (“DPM-stroke”). The federal program provides for the renewal of existing facilities. In this case it is put task not just extending their service life, but increasing the economic efficiency of generation.

Modernization activities include a comprehensive replacement of the boiler unit, steam turbine, generator and auxiliary equipment of power unit No. 4. Commissioning of new capacity is scheduled for October 2025.

As part of the auxiliary equipment, the project provides for the replacement of the existing “Sumy” unit of the APE 580-185-3 boiler feed pump with new modern and efficient equipment.

Previously, PE series pumps were developed in the 70s and were produced at the Nasosenergomash plant (Sumy, Ukraine). Since then, these types of pumps have been used at almost all energy facilities in the Russian Federation. Taking into account the current international situation, the production of domestic pumps of the PE series currently has long production times. In this regard, timely completion of equipment for current investment projects cannot be ensured.

The EnergoFront company, against the backdrop of current Western anti-Russian sanctions, as part of the rapprochement of the Chinese and Russian economies and establishing partnerships with Chinese manufacturers of various equipment, has developed a standard alternative technical proposal for replacing PE series pumps based on a high-quality analogue - the TDG series pump - the Chinese manufacturer KAIQUAN PUMP (GROUP) CO. LTD.

SHANGHAI KAIQUAN PUMP (GROUP) CO. LTD is one of the largest pumping factories in China, which has modern production equipment and produces high-quality pumping equipment.

To implement the project “Modernization of the Samara Thermal Power Plant with the replacement of TA st. No. 4 and KA st. No. 4" our specialists, together with the SHANGHAI KAIQUAN PUMP plant, adapted the technical characteristics and overall connection dimensions of the TDG600-200X10 pump, which fully correspond to the technical parameters of the original PE 580-185-5 pump.

Centrifugal double-casing boiler feed pumps of the TDG series are made based on the design of high-speed turbo boiler feed pumps of the KHTC series, operating at speeds above 5000 rpm in nuclear power.

Feed pump unit - TDG600-200x10 with parameters 580m3/h; 2030m, NPSH=10m; Т=165°C includes:

• double casing boiler feed pump TDG600-200x10 manufactured by SHANGHAI KAIQUAN PUMP;

• electric motor 4АЗМ-4000/6000УХЛ4 manufactured by NPO ELSIB PJSC;

• block oil station for providing the oil system of the unit assembly;

• complete pipeline fittings;

• instrumentation kit.

All supplied equipment undergoes preliminary factory tests under load in the presence of Customer representatives on specialized certified test benches.

The aggregation will be carried out at the construction site of the Samara CHPP with the help of certified chief engineers of the EnergoFront company, followed by comprehensive commissioning operations of power unit No. 4.
