ABOUT BOOSTER PUMPS
Booster pumps are designed to create the necessary pressure in front of the main boiler feed pump. This is especially true for turbo boiler feed pumps when the rotor speed reaches 4400 rpm and higher. As the impeller rotation speed increases, the cavitation reserve increases sharply.
Booster pumps are widely used to lift water in construction, industrial and agricultural systems. Booster pumps are often used in power plants and even to supply feedwater to a nuclear reactor for steam generation. And vertical booster pumps are considered by experts to be the optimal solution for narrow spaces.
