Overhaul of district heating pumps at the Vsevolozhsk water treatment plant

20 November 2024

EnergoFront continues to develop cooperation with enterprises providing water supply to consumers in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region. In 2023, a comprehensive project was implemented to replace district heating pumps at the Ladozhskaya 1st lift station, and in 2024, work was completed to modernize the Volkovskaya water station of the State Unitary Enterprise Vodokanal of St. Petersburg. The EnergoFront company is also carrying out design and survey work to modernize the pumping station of the 1st lift of the Southern Waterworks of the State Unitary Enterprise Vodokanal of St. Petersburg.

State Unitary Enterprise

Vsevolozhsk water treatment facilities are part of the centralized water supply system “Ladozhsky Vodovod”. Water treatment facilities are the main source of drinking water on the territory of the Vsevolozhsk Municipal District and provide drinking water to seven municipalities of the Vsevolozhsk District of the Leningrad Region. The average daily supply of drinking water from the Water Treatment Plant is 21,934 m3.

In order to modernize the centralized water supply system "Ladozhsky Vodovod", the EnergoFront company, together with the concessionaire Severo-Zapad Engineering LLC, developed a technical solution for the overhaul (replacement) of exhausted district heating pumps with new pumping units manufactured by M&W 300MS32 with the installation of frequency converters PCH-TTPT-200-400-50 manufactured by LLC "Electrotex-IN" for parameters: flow 800 m3/h, head 32 m.

Installation of new pumping equipment will improve the reliability and uninterrupted operation of the station in accordance with the real needs of consumers.

The operation of pumping equipment with frequency converters ensures a smooth start/stop of the pump unit with subsequent access to the specified mode. Also, the frequency converter allows you to set the daily and weekly operating mode of the pumping unit to ensure target energy saving and energy efficiency indicators.

In the process of replacing district heating pumps, the need to modernize the coagulant supply system was identified. In a short time, EnergoFront proposed a technical solution to replace existing coagulant metering pumps with modern Ligao DMA 150-5 P-E-J-1-E metering pumps. The use of new modern pumps will increase the accuracy of supply of coagulant to the drinking water purification system and will improve the quality of drinking water.

This project is not the first in which EnergoFront acts as a general contractor.
