Supply of DeLium D350-450A network pumping units of horizontal and vertical design within the framework of the CSA-2 project for the modernization of equipment at Perm CHPP-9 PJSC T-Plus

20 April 2021

Perm CHPP-9 is the largest power plant in terms of installed thermal capacity of the Perm branch of the Russian private energy company PJSC T Plus. CHPP-9 provides energy supply to oil refining production (Lukoil-Permnefteorgsintez) and is one of the main sources of heat for the left bank of Perm.

Perm CHPP-9 PJSC

Starting from 2021, within the framework of the federal program CSA-2, PJSC T Plus is starting to modernize the equipment of Perm CHPP-9. The station will be the first in the company where work will begin to update the fleet, which is exhausting its capacity. The purpose of the modernization is to replace the turbine unit Art. No. 9, 10 and boiler station. No. 9 to increase electricity generation from thermal consumption, increase the efficiency of production of thermal and electrical energy with a decrease in the specific consumption of standard fuel for electricity supply. After modernization, the installed electrical capacity of Perm CHPP-9 will be 465.9 MW, thermal capacity - 1179.6 Gcal/h.

Also, as part of the current modernization, the district heating pumps of heating turbines st. No. 10, st. No. 9 of the first rise will be replaced, which supply district heating water through heaters (PSG) to the suction of the district heating water pumps of the second rise. To provide consumers with thermal energy, the project requires installing 3x50% of the network pump on each heating turbine, a total of 6 pumping units.

Calculation and selection of district heating pumps was developed jointly with engineers of Zarubezhenergoproekt JSC. Within the framework of the tasks EnergoFront specialists proposed a technical solution using new generation equipment - pumps of the DeLium series - double-entry centrifugal pumps with a horizontal housing split, designed taking into account modern requirements for energy consumption, reliability and long service life. Currently, Delium pumps have significant positive delivery experience and have proven themselves in operation at energy facilities.

The pumps fully comply with the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation dated July 17, 2015 N 719 “On confirmation of the production of industrial products on the territory of the Russian Federation,” which is one of the most important conditions for the implementation of the project within the framework of the federal program CSA-2.

For the CHP modernization project, the layout of the designed equipment was carried out in the conditions of the existing workshop and the building structures located in it, which required the use of DV350-450A-435-Ch/Ch-t-UHL3.1 units in a vertical design as district heating pumps for the heating turbine station No. 10. This solution made it possible to compactly place the equipment and fit it into the building structures of the workshop with the minimum possible modifications.

In addition, the design of the pumps uses mechanical shaft seals. And unlike previously operated SE brand pumping units equipped with crankcase lubrication bearings with a cooling system, Delium brand pumps are equipped with grease lubricated rolling bearings and do not require a cooling supply. Refusal of the cooling system allows you to reduce costs for your own needs.

Thanks to the modern pumping part with a two-helix spiral, high efficiency (85%) with a flat operating characteristic is ensured. This will provide a wide range of system operating parameters with high efficiency.

EnergoFront contributes to the implementation of the federal program CSA-2. Participating in such projects from the initial stage - the development of design and working documentation, our specialists continue to develop experience in full-cycle projects and make efforts aimed at providing technical assistance to design organizations in determining operating parameters and selecting energy-efficient, modern equipment in a competitive market.

Currently, the pumping units are placed into production. Due to the short period of reconstruction and the need to put district heating pumps into operation before the start of the heating season of 21-22, their production is under the constant control of EnergoFront and moves in accordance with the production schedule developed with JSC HMS Livgidromash.
