Successful tests of the equipment for serial icebreakers of the project 22220 «Siberia» and «Ural» are continuing

LLC «EnergoFront» has taken another important step in the framework of an ambitious project to supply equipment on the icebreakers «Ural» and «Siberia». In September on the test bench of Emit plant (Żychlin, Poland) conducted acceptance inspection and testing of eight vertical motors mSVh400h10cs 290 kW, designed to drive the circulation pump unit VCMA5000-14.

All tests were successful and demonstrated full compliance with the parameters of the technical specifications. To confirm the requirements of the technical specifications, LLC «EnergoFront» specially organized a regular supply of the frequency inverter EPV-SH48-7 OM4, which has been tested by JSC «CHEAZ» in July 2018. The received equipment will be shipped to JSC «HMS Livgidromash» in the nearest future for final assembly and comprehensive testing of pumping units VTSMA500-14.

«During the tests, we were once again convinced of the reliability of the equipment and the professionalism of our team», - comments the Project Manager of LLC «EnergoFront» Ilya Zagorodny. – «It is gratifying that on such a strategically important project we consistently demonstrate our competence and responsibility in solving the task».

The goal of project 22220 is to ensure Russia's leadership in the Arctic. The nuclear icebreakers under construction will provide pilotage carrying hydrocarbon raw materials from the fields of the Yamal and Gydan peninsulas, the shelf of the Kara Sea to the markets of the Asia-Pacific region. New ships will be able to break through ice up to 3 meters thick and conduct caravans of ships under arctic conditions.
